Senior DoD Contracting SME

Job Summary

Providing expertise in Federal and DoD acquisition processes, the fully remote Senior DoD Contracting Subject Matter Expert will support the design and improvement of procurement business systems while collaborating with technical teams to translate contracting regulations into clear software requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior functional resource for Federal and DoD acquisition workflows and procurement system requirements
• Work with stakeholders to identify user needs and translate FAR, DFARS, and agency requirements into functional specifications
• Support Agile development teams through requirements refinement, testing, and validation of software features against contracting needs

Required Qualifications

• At least 15 years of experience in Federal or DoD acquisition and contracting, with direct experience in procurement processes
• Extensive knowledge of FAR and DFARS, with hands-on experience using federal procurement systems
• Ability to translate contracting policies into clear functional requirements and business rules
• Experience in reviewing procurement workflows and recommending improvements
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
