Job Summary
To lead the design evolution of the Wirecutter Store, the full-time Senior E-Commerce Product Designer will create high-fidelity designs for shopping experiences, focusing on UX optimization and visual standards in a remote-friendly environment.
Key responsibilities
- Translate complex business requirements into elegant designs, wireframing and prototyping for a cohesive store experience across desktop and mobile
- Analyze the shopping funnel to identify friction points and design solutions that enhance navigation, product discovery, and the checkout process
- Partner with the business team to drive A/B testing initiatives, designing and implementing UI experiments based on data-driven insights
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant design experience
- A portfolio showcasing expertise in e-commerce design, including information architecture and visual hierarchy
- Experience designing for Shopify, including navigating the theme editor and collaborating with developers
- Experience designing templates for e-commerce email platforms like Klaviyo or Shopify Email
- Proficiency in using analytics to inform design decisions and prioritize changes
