Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

To support fast-track power plant projects, the full-time Senior Electrical Project Engineer will manage the electrical engineering for hybrid generation sites, including gas turbines and battery storage, with responsibilities spanning design, vendor coordination, and project compliance, starting in Houston, TX with a remote option after onboarding for qualified candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Direct electrical engineering for turbine-driven plants and battery storage installations, covering various plant-wide systems
• Produce and approve electrical schematics, equipment layouts, and construction packages in compliance with industry standards
• Coordinate with engineering firms, suppliers, and regulators to ensure project progress and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in electrical or project engineering on gas plants, battery storage, or hybrid power systems
• Proficiency in ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD, and at least one of PSCAD or DIgSILENT
• Field experience with turbine generators, substations, and utility-scale lithium-ion systems
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
