Senior Electrical Engineer, PE Preferred

Job Summary

To support a growing clean energy initiative, the Senior Electrical Engineer, PE Preferred will work remotely or in a hybrid capacity, focusing on evaluating utility impact studies, assisting in project site evaluations, and managing interconnection processes for transmission scale and distributed energy resource projects across various states.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide actionable feedback on utility impact studies and project design changes
• Assist project developers with site evaluations and interconnection cost estimates
• Manage technical aspects of the interconnection process and provide training to the internal engineering team

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant engineering and technical policy experience in renewable energy design
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred
• PE license preferred
• Strong understanding of interconnection standards and distribution system impacts
• Experience with power systems modeling software such as SKM, Aspen, or PSSe
