Senior Electrical Engineer, PE Preferred

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Utility Electrical Engineer, PE Preferred, for a hybrid role based in Boston, Lowell, Chicago, Oakland, or Troy, or fully remote, who will evaluate potential sites, write regulatory policy, and provide engineering guidance for transmission scale and distributed energy resource projects across the U.S.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide feedback on utility impact studies and project design changes
• Assist project developers in site evaluations and interconnection cost estimates
• Manage technical aspects of the interconnection process and provide training to the engineering team

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant engineering and technical policy experience in renewable energy design
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred
• PE license preferred
• Strong understanding of interconnection standards and distribution system impacts
• Experience with power systems modeling software such as SKM, Aspen, or PSSe
