Job Summary
Owning the detailed design and integration of electro-optic hardware modules, the full-time Senior Electro-Optic Hardware Engineer will develop advanced photonic systems, collaborating with various engineering teams to translate system requirements into robust products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and integration of electro-optic modules, including optical amplifiers and control electronics
- Convert system requirements into engineering specifications, including optical power budgets and assembly documentation
- Oversee EVT and DVT processes, ensuring thorough documentation and closure of technical risks and failures
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or higher in electrical engineering, optical engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in electro-optic or opto-mechanical hardware design through prototype and manufacturing release
- Strong knowledge of fiber-optic components and subsystems
- Experience integrating optical, analog, and digital electronics in rack-mountable or blade-format equipment
- Proficiency in developing requirements, test plans, and formal test reports
