Senior Elixir Engineer
Job Summary
Building and scaling backend services for the Level All platform, the full-time remote Senior Elixir Engineer will design and maintain Elixir and Phoenix services, lead projects, and mentor other engineers while collaborating closely with frontend developers.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and REST APIs for web and mobile applications
- Lead projects from planning to production, creating implementation plans and managing tickets
- Improve system performance, reduce complexity, and address technical debt as the user base grows
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with Elixir in a production environment
- Strong understanding of OTP and experience designing REST APIs
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience scaling systems
- Appreciation for automated testing and a product-driven mindset
- Proven ability to take ownership of work and collaborate effectively in a remote team
