Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Job Summary
Owning critical firmware domains, the full-time Senior Embedded Software Engineer will design and test production vehicle firmware for safety-critical systems while collaborating on cross-functional projects in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, prototype, build, and test production vehicle firmware for safety-critical systems
- Develop and optimize applications in RTOS environments, focusing on reliability and performance
- Lead debugging and bring-up for new boards and SoCs, collaborating with electrical engineers and software developers
Required qualifications
- Expert-level proficiency in C and/or C++ for embedded systems
- Strong command of communication protocols such as SPI, UART, I2C, and CAN
- Experience developing on RTOS environments like embedded Linux or QNX
- Proven experience with safety-critical systems and processes, such as ISO 26262
- Typically 7+ years of experience developing embedded software for production systems
