Job Summary
Owning critical firmware domains, the full-time Senior Embedded Software Engineer will design and test production vehicle firmware for safety-critical systems, lead cross-functional projects, and mentor other engineers while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design, prototype, build, and test production vehicle firmware for safety-critical systems
- Develop and optimize applications in RTOS environments, focusing on reliability and performance
- Lead debugging and bring-up for new boards and SoCs, collaborating with electrical engineers and software developers
Required qualifications
- Expert-level proficiency in C and/or C++ for embedded systems
- Strong command of communication protocols (SPI, UART, I2C, CAN, TCP/UDP)
- Experience in RTOS environments (e.g., embedded Linux, QNX, VxWorks)
- Typically 7+ years of experience developing embedded software for production systems
- Experience with safety-critical systems and processes (e.g., ISO 26262)
