Senior Engineer, Constellation Systems
Job Summary
Supporting a distributed remote team, the full-time Senior Engineer, Constellation Systems will develop and enhance modeling tools for satellite constellation design, engage with customer programs, and provide expertise in orbital mechanics.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and expand processes for constellation orbit design, including launch planning and revisit specifications
- Support constellation design trades and decision milestones while providing subject matter expertise in orbital mechanics
- Utilize and improve modeling tools to report performance metrics for internal studies and proposals
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, software), physics, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of relevant technical experience
- Familiarity with spacecraft systems and satellite constellations
- Proficiency in software languages such as Python or C++
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
