Senior Engineer Ontology Platform
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Senior Engineer Ontology Platform, this remote position will manage the engineering lifecycle of the ontology platform, including ontology stewardship, rules engineering, connector/platform work, and data engineering, while collaborating with business stakeholders to implement and maintain data structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business ontology definitions into implementable structures and maintain ontology consistency
- Build and maintain ingestion connectors and contribute to core platform services and APIs
- Design and optimize data models, schemas, and pipelines for ontology-mapped data
Required Qualifications
- 5-9 years of software/data engineering experience with a focus on data modeling and pipelines
- Solid understanding of SQL, ETL/ELT patterns, and experience with data pipeline maintenance
- Experience building integrations or connectors to external systems, addressing schema variation and data quality
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into concrete technical structures
- Practical experience using AI coding agents to enhance development workflows
