Job Summary
Providing advanced technical support for power plant operations, the full-time Senior Engineer - Renewables will troubleshoot equipment failures, manage engineering analysis, and ensure compliance with industry standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for equipment failures, coordinating corrective actions with site teams and contractors
- Develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis and programs to improve performance and compliance
- Perform independent research and analysis to support technical projects and mentor junior engineers on technical issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical) with 5 years of technical or related engineering experience
- Ability to maintain minimum access requirements and favorable medical examination as applicable
- Proficiency in leading cross-functional initiatives at an asset or plant
- Strong working knowledge of solar PV and battery energy storage technologies
- Familiarity with electrical protection and controls, SCADA, and utility/grid interconnection requirements
