Senior Engineering Manager
Job Summary
The full-time remote Senior Engineering Manager will lead the platform engineering team, overseeing foundational capabilities such as shared services and core infrastructure while ensuring platform health and supporting AI workloads.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of senior and staff-level platform engineers, setting expectations and providing feedback
- Guide technical direction by partnering with engineers on architecture and system design, focusing on high-leverage work
- Own delivery and platform health, ensuring reliable shipping of initiatives and defining performance and operational maturity standards
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in a management role, preferably in platform or infrastructure teams
- Proven track record of managing and growing senior engineers with a focus on clarity and trust
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes is strongly preferred
- Experience partnering with product teams to deliver on shared roadmaps and align across engineering and operations
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks, particularly SOC 2 and FERPA, along with data protection practices
