Senior Engineering Manager
Job Summary
The full-time salaried Senior Engineering Manager will lead a team of Engineering Team Leads in a remote setting, focusing on technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and ensuring the health of the engineering organization while driving product initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Own and evolve the architecture of the core platform, including React frontend, Node.js/Express APIs, and AWS infrastructure
- Mentor engineers across all levels, establishing engineering standards and fostering a strong engineering culture
- Partner with engineering leadership and product teams to scope and de-risk large technical initiatives
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or staff-level role
- Deep expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript in a production full-stack environment
- Strong command of React, Node.js/Express, and Postgres
- Proven experience designing and owning distributed systems or data pipeline architectures on AWS
- Track record of technical mentorship and improving the capabilities of engineers
