Job Summary
The full-time remote Senior Engineering Manager will lead the AI Foundations engineering team, focusing on hiring, coaching, and delivering shared AI services while ensuring operational excellence and strategic alignment with product goals.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the AI Foundations engineering team, overseeing technical direction and prioritization of projects
- Collaborate with Product and senior engineers to balance innovation with reliability, security, and cost management
- Establish and execute the 2027 strategy and roadmap for the Neutral Foundations pillar of Coinbase's AI Tooling Strategy
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams and delivering complex AI solutions
- Strong understanding of AI infrastructure, including LLM and MCP Gateways
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and operational readiness in a tech environment
- Ability to drive operational excellence and strategic planning within AI services
- Demonstrated capability in growing leadership talent within engineering teams
