Job Summary
Leading a growing engineering team, the full-time Senior Engineering Manager will oversee the development of a healthcare marketplace platform, managing both onshore and offshore teams while also writing production code and setting the technical direction for an API-first environment in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop engineering teams, conducting performance conversations and fostering future leaders
- Write production code across various components, ensuring quality and guiding the integration of external data sources
- Own the technical roadmap, commitments, and incident management while implementing HIPAA-compliant practices
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a management role
- Hands-on experience with Python, TypeScript, and React, including shipping partner-facing APIs
- Proven experience in data integration with external partners through APIs and batch file feeds
- Strong judgment in API design, including REST and GraphQL standards
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and experience working with PII or PHI
