Job Summary
The full-time remote Senior Engineering Manager will oversee consumer engineering teams within the New Verticals division, driving the development of high-quality user experiences and systems that support critical business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the consumer architecture to support the expansion into essential spend
- Lead large, ambiguous projects from early exploration through launch and scale while coordinating cross-team dependencies
- Manage, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, ensuring strong ownership of customer outcomes and engineering quality
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in a management role
- Experience building and scaling consumer-facing products and their supporting APIs and backend systems
- Strong product judgment with a proven track record of collaborating with business and product leaders
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives from definition through launch and iteration
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, service architecture, and operational readiness for production services
