Job Summary
To support daily production activities at an OSAT, the full-time Senior Equipment Engineer will manage consigned equipment, analyze process metrics for continuous improvement, and mentor junior engineers in plasma process development.
Key responsibilities
- Support daily production activities of consigned equipment in collaboration with maintenance and facilities teams
- Monitor and analyze process metrics using advanced Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to drive improvements in yield and equipment utilization
- Create and maintain equipment documentation, including specifications and training materials, while mentoring junior engineers
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related technical field, with 12 years of experience (or 5 years with a PhD) in plasma etch or deposition equipment
- Direct experience managing SPTS or plasma therm tools for daily production, including troubleshooting and recipe creation
- Strong knowledge of plasma etching, dicing, or related dry etch technologies
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience mentoring and guiding teams
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
