Senior FedRAMP Database Administrator

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior FedRAMP Database Administrator, the successful candidate will manage the design, availability, performance, security, and compliance of cloud database platforms while ensuring FedRAMP compliance and providing technical authority and support in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation, and support of mission-critical database platforms, acting as the senior DBA escalation point for complex issues
• Ensure compliance with FedRAMP and NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5 controls, maintaining audit evidence and supporting annual assessments
• Drive automation initiatives across database administration activities, collaborating with DevOps teams to enhance platform reliability

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise or cloud environments
• 2+ years supporting an additional database platform such as Azure SQL Database or Microsoft SQL Server
• 3+ years of experience automating tasks through shell scripting
• Experience operating in regulated environments like FedRAMP or HIPAA
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira
