Senior FHIR Integration Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project, the full-time Senior FHIR Integration Engineer will design, develop, implement, and support healthcare interoperability solutions using FHIR standards in a fully remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and support healthcare interoperability solutions using FHIR standards and HAPI FHIR
- Evaluate technical requirements and integration constraints to determine appropriate implementation approaches and solution designs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure interoperability solutions are standards-compliant, scalable, and supportable
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Extensive experience designing and implementing healthcare interoperability solutions using FHIR and HL7 standards
- Hands-on experience with HAPI FHIR, FHIR resource modeling, and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
- Strong analytical and technical solution-design skills for evaluating complex integration requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance, including required fingerprinting
