Senior Finance Policy Advisor

Job Summary

Providing on-demand advisory services, the part-time Senior Finance Policy Advisor will conduct substantive policy reviews, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and facilitate stakeholder engagement while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review and ensure technical accuracy of financial policies, aligning with IPSAS and UNOPS standards
• Coordinate with legal and policy development teams to maintain compliance and coherence across financial policies
• Monitor and document exceptions to standard processes, recommending improvements for timely policy issuance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent with 12 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience
• Extensive experience in leading complex financial programs or services within an international organization
• Proven track record in developing and implementing financial policies and control frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial guidance to senior stakeholders
• Fluent in English, with proficiency required for the role
