Senior Financial Accountant

Job Summary

Owning the general ledger and month-end close in a multi-currency environment, the full-time Senior Financial Accountant will prepare and post journals, maintain audit-ready balance sheet reconciliations, and review the work of the AP Specialist while working remotely from South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close process, preparing and reviewing various journals against a strict timetable
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure they meet audit-ready standards
• Review and guide the work of the AP Specialist, including reconciliations and coding

Required qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• 4+ years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting, preferably in a multi-entity environment
• Hands-on experience with month-end journals and general ledger accounting
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable multi-entity ERP system; strong Excel skills
• Experience in reviewing the work of bookkeeping or AP team members is advantageous
