Senior Financial Accountant CA(SA)

Job Summary

Owning the general ledger and month-end close, the full-time Senior Financial Accountant CA(SA) will prepare and post journals, maintain audit-ready balance sheet reconciliations, and oversee the work of the AP Specialist in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close process by preparing, posting, and reviewing various journals against a strict timetable
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules to ensure audit readiness, promptly investigating reconciling items
• Review and guide the work of the AP Specialist, including supplier and bank reconciliations and coding

Required qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
• 4+ years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting, preferably in a commercial, multi-entity environment
• Hands-on experience with month-end journals, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations
• NetSuite experience or a comparable multi-entity ERP, along with strong Excel skills
• Experience in reviewing the work of a bookkeeper or AP team member is a plus
