Senior Financial Analyst
Job Summary
Owning the financials of Shopify's infrastructure software space, the full-time remote Senior Financial Analyst will partner with R&D and Product teams on financial planning and investment decisions while managing data and reporting processes to support strategic insights.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with R&D and Product to provide financial insights and support decision-making for infrastructure software needs
- Own forecasting and reporting cycles, including variance analysis and management reporting across the infrastructure portfolio
- Utilize SQL, Python, and AI tools to automate workflows and enhance financial reporting processes
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in financial modeling and strategic business planning
- Strong understanding of SQL and Python, with the ability to perform data extraction and manipulation
- Experience in R&D finance and working with engineering teams on FP&A activities
- Background in data science, management consulting, investment banking, or related fields
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and navigate change effectively
