Senior Financial Data Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting data analysis efforts related to insurance systems development, the full-time Senior Financial Data Analyst will manage data conversions, validate financial data during the close process, and ensure compliance with audit requirements while collaborating closely with the Finance team and developers.

Key responsibilities

• Validate data from source systems and ensure accurate premium calculations during the financial close process
• Document source-to-target reconciliations and track data variances through resolution
• Manage a prioritized backlog of development requests and user stories, ensuring clear documentation and business sign-off

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
• 5-7 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or financial systems support, preferably in the P&C insurance or reinsurance industry
• Experience with data warehouses, general ledger systems, and financial close processes
• Strong understanding of Property and Casualty Insurance and financial data reporting
• Basic SQL skills and familiarity with ETL code and logic
