Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Job Summary

To support the Army AFI program, the full-time remote Senior Financial Reporting Accountant will focus on financial reporting, general ledger mapping, and developing material in transit reporting solutions while ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and support financial reporting for the JV team, ensuring accuracy and consistency with general ledger activity
• Analyze transactions and map their general ledger impacts, including debit and credit postings across affected accounts
• Develop, maintain, and reconcile account roll forwards and resolve variances

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an active certification (e.g., CPA, CIA)
• Four years of Federal financial management experience or equivalent commercial experience
• Hands-on general ledger experience, including preparing journal entries and applying debits and credits
• Experience building and reconciling account roll forwards
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills, including working with large transactional datasets
