Senior Fire Protection Designer
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Fire Protection Designer for a remote, full-time position, who will develop detailed fire sprinkler system designs, perform hydraulic calculations, and ensure code compliance while managing multiple projects from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed fire sprinkler system designs and layout drawings using HydraCAD Software
- Perform hydraulic calculations and material take-offs in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes
- Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure design intent and code compliance are achieved
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in fire sprinkler or fire protection design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Navisworks, and/or Revit
- In-depth knowledge of NFPA, FM Global, and other related standards
- NICET Level III or IV in Water-Based Systems Layout (preferred)
- Strong understanding of building and fire codes
