Senior Firmware Development Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of firmware engineers, the full-time Senior Firmware Development Manager will oversee the design, development, and delivery of embedded firmware for complex storage products in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of firmware engineers across various stages of firmware development, ensuring alignment with product objectives
• Drive disciplined engineering practices, including design reviews, defect management, and test strategy for firmware development
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, systems, and validation teams to deliver robust firmware solutions and resolve technical issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of embedded or firmware development experience, with significant experience in leading engineering teams
• 3+ years of people management or leadership experience, including performance management and coaching
• Strong technical foundation in embedded systems and firmware development using C/C++; experience with device control and hardware/software integration
• Proven ability to manage diverse engineering teams through full product development cycles
