Senior Flight Dynamics Engineer

Job Summary

To support the expansion of a Low Earth Orbit satellite network, the remote Senior Flight Dynamics Engineer will manage orbit determination, maneuver strategy, and operational product generation, bringing deep astrodynamics expertise into live spacecraft operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Own orbit determination and trajectory assessment for an operational low Earth orbit fleet, ensuring trusted state solutions for mission planning
• Plan and evaluate spacecraft maneuvers, accounting for atmospheric drag and changing LEO conditions
• Develop and maintain Python-based workflows to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual efforts in flight dynamics operations

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a closely related technical discipline
• Approximately 10 or more years of relevant flight dynamics, astrodynamics, or satellite operations experience
• Recent hands-on experience with ODTK and practical knowledge of STK in an operational setting
• Strong Python programming skills, particularly in integrating with STK and ODTK for analysis and automation
• Deep understanding of orbital mechanics and orbit determination fundamentals
