Senior Flight Software Engineer
Job Summary
Joining the Satellite Embedded Software Group, the full-time Senior Flight Software Engineer will design and develop software for satellite imaging payload and ADCS subsystems while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment based in Tukwila, WA.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise for software design and development of ADCS and imaging payload subsystems
- Drive project completion using Agile methodologies and task management tools like Jira
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to deliver mission-critical software features and ensure compliance with requirements
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- At least six years of experience in delivering and maintaining commercial/embedded software in production environments
- Expertise in C/C++ and Python programming languages
- Experience with embedded systems, particularly Embedded Linux and related build systems
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
