Job Summary
Overseeing a federal Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) support program, the full-time Senior FOIA Analyst will manage operations, analyze complex FOIA cases, and ensure compliance with legal standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Independently review and process complex FOIA cases, including appeals and litigation-related requests
- Conduct detailed disclosure analyses and apply appropriate FOIA and Privacy Act exemptions
- Mentor junior analysts and identify process improvements while maintaining accurate documentation in the FOIA case-management system
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- At least 10 years of relevant FOIA experience
- Advanced knowledge of FOIA exemptions, the Privacy Act, and litigation support
- Experience with eDiscovery and electronic case-management tools, particularly Relativity
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
