Senior Forward Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Forward Deployed Engineer will engage directly with clients to map workflows, implement production-quality software solutions, and transform field insights into reusable product features.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct customer discovery and workflow shadowing to identify user needs and operational constraints
- Develop and implement thin product slices across frontend and backend systems, ensuring functionality and reliability
- Document findings and communicate tradeoffs and next steps to non-technical customers while identifying reusable patterns for future projects
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in shipping production software and understanding user impact
- Proficiency in frontend technologies including TypeScript, React, and Next.js
- Experience with backend technologies such as Python and frameworks like Django or FastAPI
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or GCP and debugging deployment issues
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts in plain language to non-technical stakeholders
