Senior FPGA Signal Processing Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely as a full-time Senior FPGA Signal Processing Engineer, the candidate will design and develop advanced FPGA-based imaging and data compression solutions for space-based electronic systems, focusing on architecting and implementing high-speed programmable logic designs.

Key responsibilities

• Architect FPGA-based pipelines for image/video processing and compression, ensuring efficient data acquisition and output formatting
• Analyze and adapt existing image/video processing algorithms for specific application needs, translating them into FPGA architectures
• Create and maintain comprehensive FPGA designs using VHDL or Verilog, ensuring high-throughput implementations and validating against algorithmic models

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or 4 years with a master's degree
• Experience implementing signal processing algorithms in FPGA hardware, particularly for image/video processing and data compression
• Proficiency in RTL logic design and coding using VHDL or Verilog
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, or similar algorithmic modeling tools
