Senior Freight Analyst
Job Summary
Analyzing and interpreting carrier freight contracts, the full-time Senior Freight Analyst will audit invoice payments, investigate compliance issues, and communicate with clients and carriers while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Audit carrier freight bills and investigate potential errors and duplicate billing
- Research and identify invoices not in compliance with contractual pricing and service agreements
- Assist in the development of audit plans and provide training for less experienced analysts
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years' experience in transportation systems and freight audit/payment
- Knowledge of shipping modes, tariffs, and applicable rates/pricing
- High level of analytical skills for evaluating carrier requests and operational systems
- Advanced computer skills in Excel and Access
