Senior Front-End Developer
Job Summary
To support the development of an enterprise design system, the contract Senior Front-End Developer will build reusable UI components and establish scalable front-end standards while collaborating with design and engineering teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain reusable UI components and shared front-end assets
- Implement and extend a design system based on IBM Carbon
- Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of front-end development experience
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience building or maintaining design systems, UI frameworks, or reusable component libraries
- Experience with React and modern component-based development
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design
