Job Summary
Supporting a federal modernization initiative for the Department of the Interior, the remote Senior Front-End Developer & UX Designer will lead UI/UX strategy, conduct user research, and develop applications using Microsoft Power Apps while ensuring compliance with federal accessibility standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead user research and create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to enhance user experience
- Build applications using Microsoft Power Apps and integrate custom front-end code for tailored user interfaces
- Ensure compliance with federal Section 508 accessibility standards across all designs and interfaces
Required Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in front-end software development or UI/UX design, with at least 3 years in the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate for building high-fidelity applications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS/SASS
- Proven experience creating accessible interfaces compliant with federal standards
