Senior Full-Stack Developer
Job Summary
Leading the modernization of the National Water Prediction Service, the fully remote Senior Full-Stack/API Developer will architect and implement web capabilities and RESTful APIs while ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of major modernization initiatives for interactive displays and visualization tools
- Architect and optimize high-throughput RESTful APIs and OGC-compliant spatial data services for real-time water prediction datasets
- Build mobile-responsive, accessible web user interfaces using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and web mapping frameworks
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack web application development and API engineering
- Proven track record in designing and launching public-facing RESTful APIs and cloud microservices
- Demonstrated experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD integration
- Proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Go, or Node.js, and expertise in frontend technologies like JavaScript/TypeScript
