Senior Full-Stack Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing health tech company, the full-time Senior Full-Stack Engineer will take a hands-on leadership role in designing, developing, and optimizing web and mobile applications using Ruby on Rails and React, while ensuring high performance and scalability of APIs and services in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable APIs and services, integrating frontend components built with React and React Native
- Collaborate with product teams to define project timelines and influence technical direction while ensuring code quality
- Implement monitoring and observability practices to maintain high availability, security, and performance of services
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in full-stack software development within a multi-service ecosystem
- Production experience with Ruby on Rails, React, Docker, and AWS services
- Strong background in using PostgreSQL and NoSQL for flexible data modeling
- Experience in technical leadership through code reviews and system design sessions
- Ability to mentor engineers and promote best practices in software development
