Job Summary
To support federal digital modernization efforts, the fully remote Senior Full Stack Engineer will rapidly deploy to complex engineering issues, embedding with system owners to resolve problems while building and modifying applications, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines across various tech stacks.
Key responsibilities
- Deploy to VA's complex engineering issues, embedding with system owners to achieve resolutions within 90 days
- Conduct research and impact analysis on assigned issues, defining Success Criteria for resolution
- Build and improve full stack applications, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines while troubleshooting production incidents
Required qualifications
- Working fluency in at least one modern backend language and experience across infrastructure, data, and identity systems
- Solid fundamentals in Git workflows, CI/CD, testing, REST API design, and relational databases
- Practical cloud experience, preferably with AWS, beyond a tutorial level
- Ability to quickly become productive in unfamiliar codebases and systems
- Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
