The remote, contract Senior Full-Stack Engineer will focus on designing and owning the GraphQL schema and Python services for a loan application software, while also engaging in frontend development with React/TypeScript and managing third-party integrations in the mortgage industry.
Key responsibilities
- Design and own the GraphQL schema and backend Python services, ensuring alignment with frontend data flows
- Manage third-party integrations end-to-end, including compliance with certification requirements for agencies like Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae
- Develop and maintain OCR pipelines to convert borrower documents into structured data
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of senior-level engineering experience with production systems
- Strong Python backend skills with experience in designing GraphQL APIs
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including deployment and debugging of applications
- Working fluency in React and TypeScript for frontend feature development
- Experience with strict XML schemas and familiarity with regulated domains such as fintech
