Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to work remotely, who will write, test, and ship code primarily using React and TypeScript on the front end, with Node.js and AWS on the back end, while owning production code and mentoring fellow engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Writing, testing, and shipping code across the stack, ensuring reliability and performance in real classroom environments
• Owning production code, including monitoring, debugging, and incident response, while fostering a culture of blamelessness and responsibility
• Improving the codebase by focusing on clarity, maintainability, and pragmatic tradeoffs, while mentoring and raising the skill level of the engineering team

Required qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree or training, with 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience
• Strong understanding of software design principles and modern engineering practices, with experience in complex systems and large codebases
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks, particularly React, for building production-grade user experiences
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern backend web technologies, including Node.js, and understanding scalable service design
• A genuine passion for education products and commitment to building equitable and accessible tools for all learners
