Senior Functional Analyst
Job Summary
Leading the capture of business requirements, the full-time Senior Functional Analyst will collaborate with business users and IT to document and manage requirements in an Agile environment, focusing on software development for Veterans Affairs while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Capture and document business, functional, and technical requirements for software development teams
- Manage requirements using an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool, specifically JIRA, and perform Agile requirement management activities
- Facilitate user interviews and backlog refinement sessions, while mentoring junior analysts and supporting development teams
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline
- 10 years of professional experience in software development and Agile methodologies, with a strong background in large Agile projects
- Expertise in using JIRA tools for requirements management and testing
- Experience working in a Federal Health Agency or with VA's Veterans Independence Program (VIP) is preferred
- Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance
