Senior GenAI Engineer

Job Summary

Hands-on and detail-driven, the full-time Senior GenAI Engineer will design and deliver end-to-end LLM-based applications for a major US insurance provider, focusing on scalable backend APIs and generative AI applications while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI
• Build and integrate LLM-powered features using OpenAI GPT and Anthropic Claude models
• Implement observability and diagnostics for LLM applications, ensuring full application lifecycle support

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Python
• Solid experience building production REST APIs with FastAPI or a comparable framework
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into real applications, including prompt engineering and tool/function calling
• Practical experience with MCP servers and LLM tool ecosystems
• Experience deploying and running applications in production using Docker and CI/CD on major cloud platforms
