Job Summary
To support the revival of classic games, the remote Senior Generalist Engineer will design, build, and refine emulators, optimize game performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance player experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Own the complete lifecycle of emulators and tools, including development, maintenance, and expansion
- Maintain the CI/CD pipeline, install new tools, and optimize games for target platforms
- Drive the reverse engineering process for classic games, implementing modern enhancements and debugging compatibility issues
Required qualifications
- 5 - 8 years of generalist engineering experience, particularly in video game development
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python and Lua
- Excellent C/C++ skills with a deep understanding of computer architecture
- Experience with static recompilation techniques and reverse engineering tools like Ghidra
- Genuine passion for retro games and emulation
