Senior Global Category Manager

Job Summary

Leading the end-to-end commercial management and procurement governance for critical electrical substation equipment, the contract Senior Global Category Manager will manage key supplier relationships and oversee purchase order lifecycles while working remotely on East Coast hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary commercial owner for 5-6 strategic global suppliers providing electrical substation gear and related equipment
• Administer, negotiate, and execute supplier agreements and manage purchase orders from creation through reconciliation
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams to translate technical equipment specifications into commercial commitments

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, global category management, or technical procurement within complex global supply chains
• Strong procurement background in heavy electrical infrastructure, substations, or medium/low-voltage equipment
• Demonstrated track record in negotiating supplier contracts and managing purchase order lifecycles
• Experience managing multi-regional supplier bases across North America and Asia
• Proficiency in enterprise ERP/procurement platforms such as SAP, Coupa, or Oracle
