Senior Group Underwriter

Job Summary

To support the Specialty Health team, the full-time remote Senior Group Underwriter will underwrite new and existing business for Supplemental Health products, assess risk, develop pricing recommendations, and collaborate with various teams to drive profitable growth and customer retention.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite new business, renewals, and amendments for Supplemental Health products
• Manage an assigned in-force book of business and assess risk through evaluation of group characteristics and claims experience
• Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, and other teams to develop coordinated customer solutions and improve underwriting processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of degree)
• 4+ years of Supplemental Health underwriting experience
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in experience rating and renewal underwriting is a plus
• Proven relationship-building skills with internal and external partners
