Senior Harness Engineer

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior Harness Engineer working remotely, the candidate will design, build, and support core components of harness systems that enhance AI coding agents, ensuring quality and maintainability in the software lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop core harness components, including guides and feedback loops, to facilitate production-grade engineering
• Establish quality gating and release criteria for agent-produced work, defining authority boundaries and escalation rules
• Implement and maintain feedback sensors and testing infrastructure to ensure AI-generated outputs meet quality and safety standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent commercial experience in software architecture and development
• Proven experience with AI coding agents and familiarity with their strengths and weaknesses
• Hands-on experience building engineering tooling across modern stacks, including CI/CD pipelines and static analysis tools
• Experience defining quality-gating processes and release criteria to maintain engineering standards
• Working knowledge of security considerations for autonomous agents and consumer/contract testing methodologies
