Senior Healthcare Interface Engineer
Job Summary
To support a large federal government healthcare modernization project, the full-time Senior Healthcare Interface Engineer will develop and implement healthcare integration solutions remotely, focusing on advanced interoperability initiatives and collaborating with various teams to ensure secure and scalable integrations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement healthcare integration solutions connecting applications, data sources, and EHR systems
- Engineer and configure MLLP gateways, Apache NiFi processing pipelines, and healthcare interfaces for complex data feeds
- Collaborate with architects, FHIR engineers, and external partners to ensure integrations meet functional and security requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field with 10+ years of experience
- Extensive experience with healthcare interoperability and enterprise application integration
- Strong knowledge of HL7 v2, MLLP, and healthcare interface engines
- Experience with Apache NiFi, EHR integration, and complex healthcare data flows
- Ability to troubleshoot complex interface and data-flow issues effectively
