Senior IBM i Consultant
Job Summary
To support a manufacturing organization, the remote Senior IBM i / JD Edwards World Consultant will provide application support, troubleshoot issues, and enhance business-critical applications in a complex environment on a 6-12 month contract basis.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day application support and resolve support tickets efficiently with minimal documentation
- Investigate and understand complex custom code, databases, and business processes related to JD Edwards World ERP
- Collaborate with the internal development team while focusing on enhancing and transforming existing applications
Required qualifications
- Strong RPG programming experience, including RPGLE, Free-Form RPG, and CL programming
- Deep hands-on experience with JD Edwards World ERP, particularly in customized implementations for finance and supply chain
- Experience supporting a manufacturing environment, including inventory and order management processes
- Proficiency with IBM i database structures and operations, including commands and job management
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a production support environment
