Senior Image Processing Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance the quality and utility of satellite images, the full-time Senior Image Processing Engineer will develop processing algorithms and maintain the image processing pipeline, collaborating across the organization while working remotely or near the Seattle, WA office.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms and tools to convert raw pixel values into imagery products
• Maintain algorithms and tools throughout their operational life cycle, particularly in commercial operations
• Collaborate across the organization to improve imaging operations and define new imagery products and capabilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Astronomy, Physics, Computer Science, or related engineering fields
• Minimum five years developing image processing algorithms
• Minimum five years developing software in Python
• Minimum three years working with an operational imaging system
• A strong mathematical base in algorithm development, data processing, and uncertainty propagation
